What is the FEI Young Luminaries program?
What is the program?
The FEI Young Luminaries Program is an exclusive one-year program for high-achieving young finance professionals to meet industry leaders and develop genuine mentorship relationships. Over the course of the program, selected professionals will have access to several one-on-one meetings, as well as a slew of exclusive in-person events.
Who is Eligible?
To apply, you must be a finance professional between the ages of 25 to 35. You will be required to attend events in Toronto, therefore you must live in the surrounding area.
What is FEI?
With eleven chapters across Canada and over 1,500 members, FEI Canada is the country’s preeminent, all industry professional membership association for senior financial executives. FEI Canada provides professional development, thought leadership and advocacy services to its members. The association membership represents a significant number of Canada’s leading and most influential corporations. You can visit FEI Canada’s website at www.feicanada.org.
Who are the mentors?
The mentors are FEI Canada members including an assortment of senior financial executives across several industries.
What do I get out of this?
You will have the opportunity to meet and build a lasting mentorship relationship with some of the most prominent finance executives in the country. As part of a distinguished class of 50 FEI Young Luminaries, you will also be given access to exclusive FEI Canada events where you can learn from and network with leaders in the finance industry. Finally, you’ll also get to build lasting relationships within your Young Luminari cohort.
How long is the program for?
The program will run from September 2018 to June 2019. Continuing the mentorship past that will be at your and the mentor’s discretion.
How can I get involved?
Simply apply for the program on Luminari’s website here. You will need to upload your most recent resume, answer some questions, provide a minimum of one reference from someone who currently oversees your work, and receive approval from an executive (or an equivalent senior leader such as Partner) in organization. Further requirements will be outlined as you move along the application process.
Is there a fee associated?
Yes, the fee to participate in the program is $395, which covers all events and the discounted annual FEI Canada membership fee (if part of this program, you are automatically admitted to FEI Canada as a ‘Young Luminari Member’).
